By accessing, browsing and/or using www.medeecal.com online payment gateway, you agree to the following terms. This page contains the terms and conditions concerning your use of the Medeecal online payment website. By accessing this site, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

Consultation

  1. I agree to take the Consultation services provided by Medeecal which involves a consultation with a certified physician who is authorized to conduct telemedicine consultation which is an interactive video conversation call.
  2. I acknowledge I have read the guidelines on how the video conferencing technology will be used. I also acknowledge this consultation is limited to certain medical conditions for which the teleconsultation services can be obtained and the proper procedures that shall be applied in emergency cases.
  3. I undertake the obligation to inform the doctor about all facts important to consider while managing my/patient’s health and previous medical history/allergies/specific conditions/ disabilities irrespective of whether or not such information would have any bearing or relevance to the procedure, diagnosis or treatment/ proposed/undertaken at the hospital.
  4. I accept the fact that in case this statement is untrue, neither Medeecal nor the doctors are responsible for the caused consequences.
  5. All existing laws and regulations/ policies/ guidelines regarding access to medical information and copies of my Health Records apply to this teleconsultation.
  6. Electronic systems used will be incorporate network and software security protocols to protect confidentiality of patient identification and imaging data and will include measures to safeguard the data and to ensure integrity against intentional and unintentional corruption in accordance to UAE Laws and regulation.
  7. The nature during the teleconsultation: Details of medical history, examination, x-rays and tests may be discussed with other healthcare professionals with interactive videos, audio and telecommunication technology. Audio and/ or photo recording may be taken for accurate diagnosis, treatment and quality control.
  8. Responsible and appropriate efforts have been made to eliminate any confidentiality risks associated with the teleconsultation and all existing confidentiality protections under UAE federal laws and local regulation apply to information disclosed during this teleconsultation.
  9. I understand I may withhold or withdraw consent to teleconsultation at any time without affecting my right to future care or treatment.
  10. I understand the benefits of the telemedicine consultation such as improve access medical care by enabling a patient to remain in their home, more efficient medical evaluation and access to expertise from distant specialist.
  11. I understand there are possible risks of an incomplete or ineffective consultation because of the technology, and that if any of the risks occur, the consultation may terminate. The risks may include:
  12. Information transmission may not be sufficient (e.g. poor resolution of images) to allow appropriate decision making by the consulted physician
  13. Delays in medical evaluation and treatment could occur due to deficiencies or failure of equipment
  14. In rare instances, security protocol could fail causing a breach of privacy of personal medical information
  15. In rare cases, a lack of access to complete health records may result in adverse drug interaction, allergic reactions or other judgement errors
  16. I shall not hold Medeecal legally or financially responsible for any kind of loss or damage sustained by the procedure.
  17. I understand the risks, consequences, benefits, and alternatives of the telemedicine consultation. I have been provided with enough information in a language that I can understand, to make an informed decision and I agree to have the Telehealth consultation Services.
  18. I agree to give my consent by approve Terms & Conditions before confirm my booking knowingly, freely and voluntarily and agree to bind by its terms.
  19. In case the patient is unable to give consent/ is a minor the legal guardian /representative shall give consent on behalf of the patient and accordingly all understandings, consents and acknowledgments mentioned above shall be deemed to be consented by the patient.

Patient Rights

As a valued patient at Medeecal, you and your family shall have the following rights.

You are requested to fully understand and practice all your rights. If, for any reason, you are unable to understand them, please contact our customer service manager for any help including providing an interpreter (if required).

  1. Receive impartial care and respect for your personal values and beliefs from all staff without discrimination.
  2. Receive comprehensive medical care aiming at reaching proper medical diagnosis and treatment of your condition and/or illness and/or injury.
  3. Know the identity (Name & Specialty) of the physician responsible for your care.
  4. Receive comprehensive information about your diagnosis, proposed treatment, any changes in your health status and causes of such changes, alternative treatments, probabilities of treatment success or failure, therapy advantages and disadvantages, possible problems related to the treatment and expected results of ignoring the treatment in a simple, comprehensible manner.
  5. Provide an interpreter if the language presents a barrier to understanding details of your comprehensive medical care.
  6. You have the right to have a person of one’s own gender present during certain parts of a physical examination, treatment or procedure performed by a health professional of the opposite sex and the right not to remain disrobed any longer than is required for accomplishing the medical purpose for which disrobing was needed
  7. Participate in your care decision-making. Medeecal encourages patients, parents or legal guardians to participate in planning and implementing the treatment with nurses and physicians.
  8. Obtain a medical report and a copy of medical test results from the Medical Records Section (upon your request), for which Medeecal could charge you.
  9. Expect privacy during the performance of all examinations, procedures, and treatment.
  10. Choose the treating team doctor (upon availability and upon operational needs).
  11. If you happen to refuse the treatment, the treating doctor must inform you of the  medical consequences of the same.
  12. You have the right to refuse examination or follow-up of your treatment details by any person not directly responsible for your care. For persons who are not directly involved in your treatment, they must have your prior permission to attend your case discussion, examination and treatment.
  13. Be protected during your treatment from any physical, verbal or psychological assault.
  14. Have a family member or guardian as an escort, depending on your availability, and your health status. However, due to medical reasons, certain units don’t allow this.
  15. Receive a complete explanation of causes and/or reasons in case you are transferred to a care center, consequent obligations (financial and administrative, if any) and alternatives.
  16. Complain, suggest and comment on services to a customer service manager or via the following mediums.
    • In person – verbal
    • In person – written
    • Website
  17. Regular feedback shall be taken to determine the levels of satisfaction of complainants with the complaints-handling process. Detailed feedback of the complainant is taken for resolution of the same.
  18. All queries/concerns are acknowledged within 24 hrs and communication of the resolution, within 5 working days.
  19. You have the right to get appropriate assessment and management of pain through well-known therapies and get all the necessary information in this regard.
  20. If you are asked to participate in a medical research, you have the right to give a written consent or refuse. You also have the right to end your participation at any time for any reason. This will not compromise the quality of medical services provided to you.
  21. Get a second opinion within or outside Medeecal without fear of compromise to your care.
  22. To express spiritual/religious/cultural beliefs, provided they do not interfere in consultation safety/privacy/operations. These will be considered by the medical staff.
  23. Full disclosure of the cost of health services and information related to all the services provided by the facility.

As a valued patient at Medeecal, you and your family have the following responsibilities:

  1. Respect Medeecal rules and regulations.
  2. Show consideration for others and deal with the staff with respect.
  3. Respect the privacy and comfort of other patients.
  4. Provide complete and accurate information about present complaints, past illnesses, previous hospitalization, treatments and any known drug allergy.
  5. Follow the treating doctor’s instructions.
  6. Take responsibility for refusing or not following the treatment plan, after being informed about the potential consequences of this decision.
  7. Avoid delay in taking an appointment as soon as it is requested by the doctor.
  8. Attend the appointment on time. If you want to cancel it, inform us, at least 24 hours in advance.
  9. Respect the priority given to emergency cases.
  10. Observe safety regulations.
  11. Mentally imbalanced patients must always be accompanied by a family member or a guardian.
  12. Ensure that financial obligations are fulfilled promptly (if any).
  13. Provide requested samples and attend medical your check-up on time.

You must keep a copy of this form and verify the recipient’s official identity. Medeecal management is not responsible for any consequences resulting from non-adherence to the above instructions.

Terms & Conditions

  1. You agree and accept the services provided by Medeecal at your request to carry out your requested service payments through instructions on your account, given by you.
  2. You have no objection whatsoever, to the payment gateway providing your billing details to the bank.
  3. You accept payments online using Visa and MasterCard credit/debit card in Euro.
  4. You agree that the debit/credit card details provided by you for use of the aforesaid service(s) must be correct and accurate and that you shall not use a debit/credit card, that is not lawfully owned by you or the use of which is not authorised by the lawful owner thereof.
  5. You further agree and undertake to provide correct and valid debit/credit card details. Customers who are minors/under the age of 18 shall not register as a user of the website and shall not transact on or use the website. 
  6. The cardholder must retain a copy of transaction records and merchant policies and rules. You agree and undertake to carry a valid identification proof at the time of visiting Medeecal and/or any other Medeecal service/unit for availing services. Medeecal shall use reasonable endeavours to check the accuracy of the information published on its site.
  7. The contents of www.medeecal.com cannot be reproduced, modified, transferred, distributed, republished, downloaded, posted or transmitted in any form or by any means including but not limited to electronic, mechanical photocopying or recording without the prior written permission of Medeecal.
  8. You agree that the material and content contained within or provided by www.medeecal.com is for your own personal use only and may not be used for commercial purposes or distributed commercially.
  9. Medeecal and/or the payment Service providers shall not be liable for any inaccuracy, error or delay in, or omission of (a) any data, information or message, or (b) the transmission or delivery of any such data, information or message; or (c) any loss or damage arising from or occasioned by any such inaccuracy, error, delay or omission, non-performance or interruption in any such data, information or message.
  10.  Medeecal and any other Medeecal service/unit name referred to on www.medeecal.com are trademarks of Medeecal. Neither users of this website, nor any other third parties, have any right to use that trade mark.
  11. The site may automatically produce search results that refer and/or link to third-party sites throughout the World Wide Web. Medeecal has no control over these sites or the content within them. Medeecal does not guarantee, represent or warrant that the content contained in the sites are accurate, legal and/or inoffensive. Medeecal does not endorse the content of any third-party site, nor does it make any representation or warranty about these sites, including that they will not contain viruses or otherwise impact your computer.
  12. By using the Site to search for or link to another site, you agree and understand that you will not make any claim against Medeecal for any damages or losses, whatsoever, resulting from your use of the site to obtain search results or to link to another site. If you have a problem with a link from the site, you may notify us at contact@medeecal.com. If your PC does not support relevant technology including but not limited to encryption you may not be able to use certain services or access certain information on www.medeecal.com.
  13. We may suspend or vary the whole or any part of the service offered on www.medeecal.com for any reason, at any time at our sole discretion. 
  14. Medeecal’ rights, obligations, undertakings shall be subject to the laws of Dubai Courts and the Courts of the UAE and shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all matters arising out of or relating to these terms and conditions and use of this website.
  15. Nothing contained in these terms and conditions shall be in derogation of Medeecal’ right to comply with any law enforcement agency’s request or requirements relating to any user’s use of the website or information provided to or gathered by Medeecal with respect to such use.
  16. In the event of any claim for/of charge back by you for any reason whatsoever, you shall immediately approach the billing counter with your claim details. No claims for refund/charge back shall be made by you to the payment service provider(s) and in the event such a claim is made, it shall not be allowed.
  17. Refunds will be allowed and made online only if the service is not rendered by Medeecal for any reason after receiving the payment, or the admission of the patient is cancelled for any reason, or the amount deposited exceeds the bills for the services rendered by Medeecal.
  18. Server Slow Down/Session Timeout: In case the website or payment service provider’s webpage, that is linked to the website, is experiencing any server-related issues like ‘slow down’ or ‘failure’ or ‘session timeout’, you shall, before initiating the second payment, check whether your bank account has been debited or not and accordingly resort to one of the following options: In case the bank account appears to be debited, ensure that you do not make the payment twice and immediately thereafter Check the ‘Manage your Payment’ option to validate your recent transaction. Contact the payment gateway customer support via e-mail or any other mode of contact as provided by Medeecal to confirm payment.
  19. In case the bank account is not debited, you may initiate a fresh transaction to make payment. Medeecal and the payment service provider(s) assume no liability whatsoever for any monetary or other damage suffered by you on account of: delay, failure, interruption, or corruption of any data or other information transmitted in connection with use of the payment gateway or services in connection thereto; and/or any interruption or errors in the operation of the payment gateway.
  20. You agree, understand and confirm that your personal data including, without limitation details relating to debit card/credit card transmitted over the Internet may be susceptible to misuse, hacking, theft and/or fraud and that Medeecal or the payment service provider(s) have no control over such matters.
  21. You agree to indemnify Medeecal and its associated firms against any claims, damages, costs, losses, expenses or liabilities which Medeecal and its associated firms may incur as a result of any misuse or unlawful use of this website including, without limitation, arising from any spamming activities, defamatory statements, use of pornography or infringement of intellectual property rights or other third-party rights carried out by you or for which the user is responsible. 
  22. Although all reasonable care has been taken towards guarding against unauthorised use of any information transmitted by you, Medeecal does not represent or guarantee that the use of the Services provided by/through it will not result in theft and/or unauthorised use of data over the Internet.
  23. You agree that any communication sent by you via e-mail, shall imply release of information therein/therewith to the payment gateway.
  24. You agree to be contacted via e-mail on such mails initiated by you.
  25. Payment Gateway Disclaimer – The service is provided in order to facilitate access to avail and pay the services offered online.
  26. Medeecal or the payment service provider(s) do not make any representation of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the payment gateway other than what is specified in the website for this purpose.
  27. By accepting/agreeing to these terms and conditions you expressly agree that your use of the aforesaid online payment service is entirely at your risk and responsibility.

Cancellation & Refund

  1. Medeecal reserves full right to refuse/cancel a service requested by you. A request for cancellation shall be made by you within 24 hours before the appointment. Upon acceptance of cancellation request, you will be eligible to receive a full refund less 25%, to be deducted as Service Fee.
  2. Cancellations received after stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund.
  3. Cancellations will be accepted via e-mail or WhatsApp, and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline.
  4. All refund requests must be made by you or the credit card holder and must include the name of the user and/or transaction number.
  5. Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment within 30 days from the date of receiving the cancellation request.
